Beaches of Boracay
The island prides itself of powder-fine sand beaches. The 3 main beaches would include the White Beach, Puka Beach and Bulabog Beach.
The White Beach is the major beach of the island. It is a 5 kilometer long powdery white beach, having a very wide shore that bounds the breathtaking clear blue sea. It is divided into 3 boat stations that serve as drop off points for those coming in the island. Boat Station 1 is the at the most northern end of the beach, Boat Station 2 at the centre and Boat Station 3 at the South.
Most of the resorts, shops and restaurants are located on White Beach.
Puka Beach on the other hand is a stunning natural beauty spot. The untouched beach and
swaying green palms makes it a very pleasurable sight. It is the best location for swimming and a venue for non-motorized water activity. The beach is less developed, exhibiting the natural wonders of the island. Families and group of friends will enjoy a celebration of the freshest catch of the Sulu Sea on a lunch served in the small, family type restaurants on Puka Beach.
The Bulabog Beach runs parallel to White Beach, located at the other side of the island. Bulabog is a kiteboarders paradise because of the seasonal constant sea wind that sweeps on that side of Boracay.
Also, there are numerous other hidden beaches where one can get a glimpse of the underwater
world through snorkeling or even diving.
Boracay, the restaurants, the bars, the shopping…
On White Beach, there is an inspiring collection of shops, restaurants and bars. Top quality foods, the freshest produce of the region are served in all the food outlets. A celebration of world cuisine from Filipino, Korean, Spanish, Greek, Japanese, English, Chinese, European, Mediterranean, Indian and a lot more gives a variety of choices to tourists coming from all parts of the world. Apart from that, small kiosks and shops offer refreshments like ice cream, sodas, shakes, snow cones and etc.
Convenience stores, local bake shops and drug stores are strategically located in different parts of the islands. The biggest ones are found at D’Mall, where most of the happenings in the island are concentrated.
The shops hold a variety of goods. There are those offering tribal goods, souvenir items which vary from shirts to key chains, from hats to fans and from local handicrafts to contemporary art materials. Surf ware, swim suits, spa oils and soaps can also be found at reasonable prices.
The island does not sleep. At night, one can choose from quiet family bars, sound-trip bars or full dance bars, which are open until wee hours of the morning.
Boracay, so much to do…
The activities within Boracay do not stop with playing on the shore or swimming in the sea. One
can have fun exploring further through jet skiing, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, kite boarding, skim boarding, boating, banana boat ride, parasailing and watching the underworld without getting wet through a glass-bottom boat.
